“My interest in photography was born out living in Islamabad, Pakistan in 1987 and wanting to document everything around me.
After getting a camera, my desire to capture images was accelerated by living in a series of faraway places that stretched from Istanbul to California.
My professional career has included press photography for the largest newspaper in the Arabian Gulf, studio photography, significant work with branding agencies, corporate and industrial photography and work on award winning advertising campaigns.
I have also undertaken photographic assignments for humanitarian agencies including UNICEF for whom I worked on a series of photographic essays across war torn Afghanistan and on assignment for UNICEF in Oman, depicting patients that suffer with HIV/AIDS.
I also contributed to the UNICEF/Omani governments’ efforts to care for disabled children from impoverished or remote areas and to their work with heroin addicts’ rehabilitation.
In Afghanistan I was asked to help organize an exhibition at the Ministry of Education in Kabul for the “Back to School Campaign”. (An effort to get Afghan girls to go back to school, post Taliban regime)
